Hi there guys! :D This is your friendly neighbourhood (…I don’t know where I’m going with this joke) admin An here, just updating you guys on a couple of things.

Firstly, frequency of updates. We try, we really do. We don’t update as often as we (and you) would probably like. But dang, we try really hard. Please bare with us, and remember, requests take first priority. That means that if there’s something you want romanized, please request it! We try to take on popular new releases, but obviously we can’t get everything everyone wants, and we certainly can’t do it in the order of priority that people would like either. So if there’s something you want to see romanized, please do let us know, whether it is new or old.

Along the same vein as that, I guess this is also a HELP WANTED advertisement. We really need all the help we could get, and the blog is fairly low-maintenance. There’s a form to fill out when you post, you can copy & paste it over onto do the next one, and generally if you find tagging for it a hassle one of the other admins can even take care of that for you! All we really need are a few more staff members who will be able to romanize more for us, so that we can get through the crazy amount of releases that are constantly coming out. All of us have lives aside from Tumblr, and it would be hugely appreciated if we could have some help. You should, of course, already be able to romanize Hangul.

Lastly, perhaps a little bit excitingly (but perhaps only for me), several months ago I put together a few draft posts, which were a directory of all the songs — as opposed to the artists tag list, although naturally that is still in place for people who would maybe like to find artists. These have now been moved to individual pages and open to the public to create our brand new SONG DIRECTORY. Please note that it is different from the tag list in several ways, mainly being that the recording artist is the one used as the artist on the song directory. Not everyone will particularly care, but just in case anyone does:

If an artist is featured on another artist’s song, it will only be listed on the song directory as the main artist. (Narsha’s I’m In Love featuring Jeong Seong Ha will be in the directory only under Narsha’s name, but with a clear note that JSH is featured.) The post is still tagged with both artists.
If two artists are working together in what is an equal collaboration, it will be listed under both artists, with the other artist credited. (Bobby Kim’s and Gummy’s Love Recipe is listed under both artists, with a clear note that it was a collaboration with the other artist. The post is also tagged with both artists.
If an artist is part of a group but releases solo music independently without the group’s name attached to them, it is under the solo artist’s name. (4minute’s Hyuna has independently released solo material, so it is under her own name in the directory and not 4minute’s.) The post may also still be tagged with the group’s name as well, but think of the tag as a blanket to fall over all of these works, rather than an indication that it is the group’s release.

Hopefully, all of the above makes sense! I apologize for spamming your Dashboard, but I hope you guys find the song directory as useful as I do. :) The directory is sorted by the first letter/number/symbol of the artist’s name, and separated by each letter. All the links can be found on the bottom of our info sidebar! As always, thank you so much for following and sticking with us. The blog has grown an insane amount since we started and we’re so happy to have all of you on board. ♥
